How it works

  1. Join the same Wi-Fi

    Connect your phone and your computer to the same network.

  2. Start your server on the network

    Most dev servers need one flag so other devices can reach them. See the table below.

  3. Open DevMirror and tap

    Your running servers are listed by page title. Tap one to open it in Chrome.

FAQ

How do I view Live Server on my phone?

Connect your phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi, click Go Live in VS Code, then open DevMirror and tap your Live Server. Without the app, open http://YOUR-COMPUTER-IP:5500 in your phone's browser. Full guide.

Why doesn't localhost work on my phone?

localhost always means "this device". On your phone it points at the phone, not your computer. You need your computer's local network address, like 192.168.1.14, and DevMirror finds it for you. Full guide.

My dev server isn't showing up.

Make sure the server listens on the network (see the table above), both devices are on the same Wi-Fi (guest networks often block device-to-device traffic), and your firewall allows the port. You can also enter the IP manually or connect over USB.

Does DevMirror collect any data?

No. There's no account, no analytics and no ads. The app only talks to devices on your local network.

Is there an iOS version?

Not yet. DevMirror is Android-only. On iPhone you can still open your server manually. Here's how.
